I wanted to renew 2 .ca names. They charge $14.99cdn per name. I can go to namespro.ca and get it done for $10 each. Could have saved $10. So i fire up chat, see if I can get a discount. What a confusing conversation, in the end, I paid 14.99 cdn each, no saving but they credit me $4 in store. Wasted 45 minutes with them, even renewed a name wasn't due for over a month. I figured i could get them down a bit. I also requested the transaction be cancelled but as you can see in chat it cannot be reversed. I assume this is because of it being a .ca but I got the shaft. I will never renew another .com @GoDaddy they are going to namesilo. So I end up -6$
However I will get my money's worth another way. Enjoy reading my conversation with godaddy and I look forward to opinions as well as critisizm lol

kk - you -
still there? - Sean -
yes - you -
why did I still pay 14.99 per domain name - Sean -
you did not - Sean -
it shows the price on the receipt - Sean -
but the card was charged 10.29 - Sean -
we credited the rest - Sean -
but the price of the domain was paid - does that make sense - you -
I am looking at it. 14.99 each. took my in store credit of 22$ plus 8.93 from my bank account - you -
bank account/credit card same thing - Sean -
10.29 usd correct the and the credit for the remaining - Sean -
so the only amount to the card was $10.29 - you -
I paid $31.48 cdn to renew those 2 names. Thats the same price I would have paid anyways - Sean -
the in store credit was used - so the only new amount paid was the 10.29 - you -
why would I pay that if I can renew them both for $20 cdn. I thought was 10.29 per name? - you -
I got no discount - Sean -
you used the in store credit to reduce the out of pocket cost to get both domains for 10.29 - you -
I could have simply renewed one at 14.99 for now and still had a credit and cash in my bank. I renewed 2 to save money. I am not paying that price. Cancel the transaction, refund me and I will transfer them - Sean -
Oh I do not understand ? you want to use store credit for another product but not for the domains ? - you -
I'll use my credit for what i want when i want. I renewed early to save money, cancel the transaction. If I want to pay the 14.99 each I will do so when I have to - you -
Or put $10 back into in store credit - Sean -
I verified the credit will be used and the card will be charged - Sean -
Ok. Let me see what I can do - Sean -
unfortunately, I can not refund the store credit - Sean -
the renewal was done and registration was renewed - you -
you were very unclear in your explanation now I read. USD CDN dollars I didnt save anything, I just blew off $10 I could have saved by transfering them - you -
Why cant you cancel the renewals? - Sean -
because it was reported to the registry - Sean -
you could cancel the domain - Sean -
and get refund but it would release the domain - you -
I can register a new name and cancel it within 5 days but not renewals? - you -
I am not cancelling the name wtf - Sean -
I understand, I was only presenting the option - you -
no option, pay now in full or pay when they need renewal - you -
same price - Sean -
the credit will be taken and $10.29 will be charged, this would limiting your cost today to get the domains renewed - that is what agreement was - Sean -
be* - Sean -
sorry for the typo - you -
it still cost me 14.99 per name, I could have renewed them next month - you -
I spent 45 minutes here and saved nothing, spent money I couldnt really afford to spend, cool.. - Sean -
I can get the in store credit to $4 - Sean -
does that help any ? - you -
anything helps but like I said I could have saved myself 10$ by not contacting you - Sean -
Ok, let me do that for you. ok one moment - -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- THE END all my .ca are good until mid 2016+ and the rest .com to namesilo. I will figure a way to burn my big $4 in store credit, and i am already working on recouping my losses. No duplicate account either, to smart for that chit,
