My Blog - Newly updated!

Hey,

A little while a go I asked for my blog to be reviewed after just creating it. Now I'm back again after its been open for a couple of months (christmas went fast...) to see what you think of it - especially since I gave the layout a total refresh tonight so I'm really interested in some feedback on that!

looks good though for the logo, remove the black background from Matt Jewell
for entries rss link, choose another color for the icon
try adding some more content
add a favicon
anyway, that's all so far...looking forward to updates

Thanks very much Vlad. What colour would you suggest for the rss icon? I thought the blue/black theme was better than using the bog standard orange

I will tinker about with the layout a bit more when I find time!

Looks good, but I think the header would need a little color. Maybe just try using a new, more colorful blog theme.

I'm not sure if it is loading correctly in Opera, but it looks very plain. Entirely white with the title text in a black background.

It looks decent for a blog, but I recommend that you develop it further with gradients and a background, et cetera.

Thanks Frikkle and maxl. It is designed to be very plain, although seems to be coming off more plain than I intended lol. Largely depends on the resolution you are viewing it at also as I deliberately made it very think (looks fine on 1440x900 though, I'm not a fan of stretched layouts)

It loads fine for me in opera Frikkie so you're seeing what I'm seeing :D I'll experiment about with it after a couple of days when I'm on half term taking into account what people are saying

Thinking of making it more focused on typographical contrast rather than graphical so am not thinking of graphics headers etc right now - although I will probably change what is there now

Needs some kind of container to keep the users' eyes on the content. Could use a bit more color. Puts off a nice New York Times vibe.

Not much to say that's not already been stated. In terms of design it's a relatively uneventful blog, so it's left to the content to make you or break you. So far, you seem to be doing what it takes to give your readers the quick information one would expect. Nicely done!
