Guys lets all play nice. If you got the .mv name you wanted, great. No need to turn on each other. And hopefully they can not take back your name.
Since *.mv goes through such a weird registration process, these are my observations:
1) Unfortunately, Marcaria and 101Domain seem to have different lists of what names are "unavailable to register", but if you ask, they will provide their list to you.
@silentg list is a great start. For 101Domain, this will save you the $19 non-refundable application fee if you know ahead of time you can't register it (even thought their website says it's available and allows you to go through payment)
2) "Unavailable" could mean a) reserved by registry b) someone else owns already c) pending = in process of being registered . Since it can take up to 30 days to register, if a domain is pending by Marcaria customer, then 101domain may not know about the status and think it's available. That could be what's causing inconsistencies.
3) It shouldn't really take 30 days, about 14 days max is what I've seen. Just ask the registry for status update. If they come back and decline your registration, you'll get a refund immediately.
4) There may be some names that were previously unavailable to register that are now available. This is just my guess that perhaps the tld is seeing popularity of .mv registrations and releasing more names.
Good luck to all.
