The Metaverse is the next big thing with many of the Big Tech players already involved so thought it deserved a dedicated ‘MV’ thread.

Lots of keywords like Glasses, NFT’s etc are already taken but there are lots still available.

Just picked up ‘MVTokens’ in king

Happy hunting!

It would be nice if you guys start a new thread for these alt extension names. Some of us get emails on every post including you guys bickering. Such a thread may allready exist not sure.

Views is nothing guys. Offers talk about offers

100% agree. Ignore views -- it's worthless misinformation. Tells you nothing about the QUALITY of the visitor with respect to how qualified they are to acquire your domain name. That is all that matters in the end. I recently sold a name for $48,000 BIN that had only 8 visitors in the past month. It only took 1 of those 8 to be a highly qualified buyer who pulled the trigger – with no negotiation.

As usual, should take in account that some part of 'MV' registrations is the legacy one not related to the Metaverse.

I already wrote about a funny case from my practice. I first sold the avatars.ai for $ 3,800 and then bought them back for $ 2,000. Have recently been sold dearly avatar.io for $89,999 and metaavatars.net for $44,000. All of these deals are reflected on the website NameBio.

First of all, this company is not that smart. They are using Vegas.mv which sucks. Then they didn’t even register vegasmv.com which is available for $8.

I wouldn’t buy or brand as either imo.
Someone regged it lol 🤦‍♂️

In 2011, I 'invented' a domain zone .ai to denote AI websites.
That is, I was the first to massively register names denoting AI for sale.
The first name was sold in 2014, ml.ai for $ 1000.
In 2021, I became the first to start massively register .mv names to designate websites dedicated to the Metaverse. The first name was sold in 2022, avatar.mv for Euro 950.
Business starts small.

A Japanese game with 8 million users is launching a crypto metaverse.
https://cryptonews.net/en/news/nft/2826785/

Metaworld will feature two different tokens — MV and ROND. The game’s main currency, MV will be a Polygon-based utility token with a total supply of 2 billion used for purchases and staking. ROND, on the other hand, will be circulated in the in-game economy. However, it will have real-world value as users will be able to exchange the token on DEXs.

Metaworld’s MV token is set to be listed on Uniswap, Quickswap, and Pancakeswap at the end of December. Listings on other DEXs, such as Sushiswap and Curve is expected in Q1 2022.

What I learned about domaining, or naming in general, is that the shorter, the better.

So I keep on asking myself why some people have so damn long domain names...

Its understandable that something like metaverse - group sells high, as it is a keyword domain.

(like metaverse - hub, or - game, or - pay)

But many other metaverse - keyword.com domains make not so much sense in my perspective.

I got some meta -keyword.com though, which I think is better, cause shorter.

However, have a nice & healthy start into the new year 2022!
Could not agree more about shorter is better. Especially in this case imo. People will not want long urls and eventually everyone will know what mv is.

Not to say metaverse names are bad but from a branding perspective its gawky and long to use the full word with another long word. I think Meta and MV will rise in popularity over metaverse.

1. One more live site with MV domain:

MVNewstoday.com

2. MV gaining a lot of traction especially in Japan n China Media.

3. Even Microsoft uses MV in its docs.

I see humongous value in MV. May be as much as VR AR XR combined!

All the best to all early believers and investors in MV.
