The Metaverse is the next big thing with many of the Big Tech players already involved so thought it deserved a dedicated ‘MV’ thread.

Lots of keywords like Glasses, NFT’s etc are already taken but there are lots still available.

Just picked up ‘MVTokens’ in king

Happy hunting!

101domain sounds to be the better option as of now..
it will take the same time, as it all needs to be performed by mv. registry - by the same person ,-)

MV land market is thriving now. Considering the current MV trends, it should have the huge further volume growth potential, land pieces already getting pretty expensive.

The Apple's cautious position seems reasonable to me - I agree that Meta is overoptimistic regarding MV getting widespread in terms of everyday use. And that's actually not that bad in my opinion, as I also don't like the idea of spending the considerable time of my life with the VR headset in front of my eyes - in this aspect the augmented reality looks much more appealing to me. Maybe I'm too conservative though.

Yeah,
but setting Metaverse equal to VR is not the full story.
mv is NFTs, DAOs, cryptogaming, play2earn, aso. And therefore, Apple is a lot too late.

But yeah, regarding VR alone, it will take its time.
To me, AR is also way more appealing, but the tech simply isn't there atm.

I have avatar.mv avatars.mv names. I will keep avatars.mv for myself, because it pairs well with my avatars.ai . And I can sell avatar.mv at the Sedo auction to work out the sale mechanism. I will describe the selling process here so that we understand how to sell .mv names. Can someone offer a starting price of € 300 for the auction so that I can get my money back?

So, the auction for the name avatar.mv has begun!

https://sedo.com/search/details/?language=us&aid=2315297

Starting price Euro 300.
Selling at this price, Sedo promises to return 200 euros to me, which is even less than the amount I invested. But at least we'll find out what .mv names are worth and how to sell them.

I already wrote about a funny case from my practice. I first sold the avatars.ai for $ 3,800 and then bought them back for $ 2,000. Have recently been sold dearly avatar.io for $89,999 and metaavatars.net for $44,000. All of these deals are reflected on the website NameBio.

Ran across this today

A redirect of a 'Mv' name

LabbaikMv.com is a redirect to their +VR.com

Another site using the MV acronym referring to metaverse

Very good, carry on🙂

Ps: Noticed the Mv is placed at the end here

FWIW, a bit of comparable registration stats - have been looking through this myself and decided to share:

Keyword, exact matchTaken in zones, # in dotDB
meta678
metaverse678
verse396
mvrs355
vr328
ar298
mr294
mv266
mverse241
xr241
mvs235

Probably not that representative though since the major part of MV regs are the old ones not related to the Metaverse; and, the disposition changes drastically if to compare not just exact matches. So yep, FWIW indeed...
Would be interesting to compare just recent regs to evaluate the current dynamics for different options.

DotDB is not up to the minute. They are a bit behind with true reg counts.

True story, have forgotten about that. If I'm not mistaken, that's even not minutes but rather hours.
