Thanks. And yes some year will get my xyz site more complete. I have done a couple of articles on .xyz over the years, but perhaps time for one again before too long. Thank you for suggestion.

To answer your question, I have 212 currently (3 not yet on Dan) and this is my fourth low 4-figure sale. I actually worked out my approximate personal sell-through rate in .xyz as part of an article a bit ago:

I have sold 3 .xyz domains for more than $1000 over the past 3 years. My portfolio in .xyz has varied, currently at 200, but most of the time period somewhat less. So if I sell 1 domain name per year out of 150 that is 0.0067 or 0.67%.

Mainly I search for dropping .xyz (using ExpiredDomains) that are not registry premium and that are versatile branding terms. I normally secure for 2 years using Dynadot 2-year .xyz deal. Then decide after 2 years whether to keep them longer. I have bought a few .xyz on auction, but only low $$. I am overall profitable on .xyz even with many names renewed in advance.

I think the analyses I did on what sell in .xyz for articles like What Sells in XYZ helped me see what does, and does not, generally sell in extension. Unfortunately, it is no longer possible to secure great names without registry premium, like it was a few years ago when Swetha built most of her portfolio (and any of us could have - no special treatment). I wish I had kept some names I had back then, but always look forward.

My .xyz goal is to serve the market for small startups with budgets in $$$$ range who are seeking to offer decentralized services of some kind. I thank Swetha for all she has done in setting a model and sharing sales data that helped us all, congratulate her on success, and in particular thank her for clearly modelling the sort of names that work as brands (this extends beyond .xyz).

I try out many things. XYZ is about 14% of my entire portfolio.

PS This name just sold and I have no idea plans for it. The other 3 .xyz that I sold are all developed sites (or in one case now redirects to the .com they subsequently acquired).
