Multiple forums same users

Can someone tell me if you can link multiple forums...example: if I had 5 seperate sites with forums on them can I make it so the members that join 1 are auto. members at all 5?

I think I've seen it and need to know how to do this.

Yes use single table for all of those users.

I think this will need some external script to do it...wont be very hard though...

which board you are using...whats the board size...how much is the activity....

Share the members table between the site and the authentication.

That should do it. Though you're setting yourself up for a ton of work with every upgrade. If you're using SMF/PHPBB they have mods available for this.
