If i were to devolope my domain mslive.us into a mail site such as Mail Stumbler Live offering free email address, do you think i would recieve harassment from microsoft regarding tms and legal advice regarding the release of MIcrosoft Windows Live.

I really dont feel that it would, but I do know for a fact that it will generate alot of traffic due to Microsofts Windows Live release. Im really interest in devoloping this, so I really need the help.

yes if you can alter the meaning of "ms" and make it mean something else, and trademark it, then you are safe

Thin ice here, imho. It's how you develop it, i.e. not alluding to the same model, or benefiting from, Microsoft's Live project, that will determine if the lawyers run hot or cold.

If they can do it to Mike Rowe, mikerowesoft.com, they can do it to anyone
