Mariah Carey has been honoured with a 'Celebrity Legs of a Goddess' award.

The singer was presented with the accolade at New York City's famed Radio City Music Hall.

As she unveiled a 16-foot high (four metres) statue designed in the likeness of her legs, the saucy songstress joked: "Just when you thought my hemlines couldn't get any shorter and my legs couldn't get any longer, I decided to take it all off!"

The 36-year-old said she got her legs in shape by going on what she calls the 'morsel diet.'

She said: "First of all I exercised a lot and I have a few different diets that I've been on. I have a few different diets that I went on which is basically the morsel diet.

"The morsel diet is when I get lazy about my regular diet. Basically you can eat a little tiny portion of anything you want but it has to be a morsel. Literally a fork full.

"I can deal with a little taste

That seems to be the first ever mention of the "morsel diet". You might have a winner here, but I think it really needs to be developed for it to have real value. How about writing (or ghostwriting) and eBook on a new diet patterned after Mariah's? It could take off.
