Guys, this is driving me insane....

Published a photo gallery, designed in frontpage last night - worked perfect apart from one of the photo files was missing on the remote server....

Found the file and published it. Checked the site and the whole page was corrupted and would not upload without a hat full of errors.

So I tried to re publish from local to remote and the same thing happened.

I even went to the length of re-writing the whole page again and re-publish. All to no avail.

So Iam sitting here now scratching my head. Cant think what to do??

Help anyone.

maybe delete all the files on the remote server and upload fresh?

yeah, done that. Still no joy. I just cant think why it doesnt take the file properly. The page looks fine viewed locally, but it doesnt after being uploaded.

Its a right pita...!

Im using frontpage to publish, though did think this might had something to do with it so i tried through a copy of leech i have and also through the Cpanel at the host. All failed. I cant understand how the page worked fine to start with and then simply adding one small file it went tango. Surely deleting all files and re-writing the page would work. Im thinking maybe there is a problem with the host?? Maybe my final port??

Check your FTP client settings to be sure you're uploading image files in binary mode (assuming this is an image, of course).

What happens if you remove that particular image from the server? Does the page go back to loading correctly?

removed all the files from the remote, deleted the file from local, re-did the entire page, left off the offending image, reloaded and same s*.....

I'm at a loss. I don't use FP since it uses a bunch of propriatary(sp) MS tags and things. I use good old notepad and sometimes Dreamweaver. Can you post the url to the gallery so I can take a look.

View the source of the page to make sure FP hasn’t changed the path of your images to file:// or something of the sort.
