I recently came accross website monitoring systems rating at www.undertesting.com. It might be advertisement website but still the service I use is ranked #1.

Does anybody else use www.serviceuptime.com? I'm just thinking about upgrading to paid account and wonder if they reliable. I've been using them for just 2 months so far and had no problems yet.

Thanks for comments in advance.

The best one I found is SiteUpTime.com for 30 mins monitoring (FREE) and Host-Tracker.com for 1 min monitoring (FREE).

I use Siteuptime.com and it is the best one around. Their monitoring is excellent. If you want more features you can upgrade for as little as 10$ per month.

yes, it can be used for any web resource I guess.

I just received a message from serviceuptime stating that all free accounts have been upgraded and they give free 30 minute monitor now instead of 60min before. So, basically if someone needs free 30min monitoring you may consider service uptime as I think they are very reliable so far.

Siteuptime has been pretty good from my experience. There are some occasional false alarms but it's not bad for a free service. It depends on who is doing the monitoring - ie: it doesn't make much sense to pay much of anything if you're a client but if you're a host it is a good thing to have.

I have to say that host-tracker.com has the best services for free. I mean 1 minute monitoring and you get an e-mail sent to you when your site goes down.

That is pretty good if you ask me. I would highly recommend them to anybody.

want a free script for monitoring ur server? try http://ccmods.co.uk/server_monitor.php

Server Monitor is free to use on commercial and privately owned websites. All I ask is that the footer containing reference to myself being the author is maintaned and not edited too much. Feel free to modify the script as much as you like; if you make any major improvements, please let me know... Same goes for bugs. If you like the script; give me credit for the script, if you don't like it, don't use it.

This is very interesting how opinions vary from forum to forum. I work for ServiceUptime and would like to assure you that our last 4 months uptime was 99.998% so if there was time when site was inaccesible for some users it was only network connection problem. We are sorry for any inconvenience and would be happy to help you change your opinion on us. Dear a1whs.com and shadow_boi PM me and we will give you one extra free monitor so you could check 2 of your services every 30 minutes free. Thank you.
