Moniker trouble. Can't unlock domain names or change nameservers.

I have five domain names with Moniker (net, org, and us). I'm trying to modify their settings for a couple of weeks. However, this does not work. Both changing nameservers and requesting a domain unlock results in a failed job. I sent them an email regarding this matter about two weeks ago, but got no reply. I'm confident that I would like to move my domain names away, but they seem to keep them hostage.

I can get the EPP codes. They are not of much use if the names are locked, though.

The domain names are not expired. They were renewed about two months ago. They are not critical, but I will hate losing them.

Any suggestions how to proceed? I plan to call them later today because the situation is kinda ridiculous.

You probably need to get in touch with support.

In the past month, Moniker has been hacked and some names stolen, so they may have locked down the names until the hack has been sorted out.

There's a thread about this on this forum.

Are you logging in using a sub-account? If so, the changes you're trying to make might not be permissible. Try logging in using your primary account number. I can't think of what it could be beyond that.

Actually, I did contact their support about ten days ago. Two email requests were posted, but there was no reply so far. However, after posting at Namepros, I did receive a reply today. I can't say if my post here is related somehow. I won't be surprised.

Anyway, it was a technical issue. It seems that each time that you attempt to update the nameservers, they submit the details of your WHOIS too. The process was failing due to some incorrect field, entered for the Company name. Not quite related to the namesesrvers... It seems that they enabled some debugging text field in their interface, which allowed me to see the exact error why the operation was failing.

Their interface is a pure pain to work with. I'm moving my domain names away tomorrow.
