Looks like CNN is going out of business or can not afford to pay the rent for the domain anymore.

20 million for money.com is cheap compared to 30 million for voice.com
I would have guessed 100 million for money.com to be the minimum price.

no domain has ever sold for hundred million and given the market - I don’t see any domain selling for hundred million for quite a while

I think if the buyer knows the brand ability of domain.So went for it.

That is a long fall from the day when this title owned personal finance in the USA. But with a good (Great!) domain name you can always make a strong exit versus going out of business.

Sad indeed how far it fell. Also sad how in this day, only former Google executives actually see the value in the name. Pretty sure, the business will be stripped down and junked given the purchasers.

They bought a 20 million dollar domain name. The rest is incidental.
