How do you develop sites around random LLLL.com's and brandable names that have little to no meaning? Should I just park?

Well, that depends on what type of LLLL.com's you have. Generally, if you have a name like XTFQ.com, and make a site about Race Cars, Electronics, ect... (Basically whatever you choose) I think the average user would have a better time remembering a name that actually made sense rather than 4 random letters. Personally, I think that 4 letter names are only worth developing if they are actually an acronym or are specific towards the type of site you are developing. Not to mention they suck for SEO purposes....... Brandable names, whether they are 5, 6, 7 letters ect, are generally good for blogs, social sites, random content sites, media, ect. If you are looking to promote products or a niche service or area of expertise, you would have better luck using a name that is longer but actually has relevance to the site.

I say develop them. Be creative! There are way too many generic names in way too many extensions to ever come up with anything original and meaningful. So, you might as well come up with sites for your rare LLLL.coms to pay for themselves so you can hold onto them long term. Further, if your website becomes a hit, you can TM your made up word and brand it which is something you can't do with Generics.

I have been slowly turning all my 4 letter domains into websites so they can pay for themselves. I often times find 10 to 20 different possibilities for each domain. LLLL.coms are great as there are lots of possibilities.

that's why it's brandable it's subjective to owner's imagination and idea, usually give it meaning as an acronym.
