Your "Yahoo" names are available because registering them would be a HUGE trademark violation. I suggest getting a refund on those names if you can

why would yahoo not have registered yahoonews.mobi, yahoosports.mobi, yahooshopping.mobi, yahoomessenger.mobi? Didn't .mobi allow companies like yahoo, an open period to register their domains?

Also if this is trademark infringement wouldnt iphone3G.mobi be a trademark violation?

Habitat is a really nice one. Couple different paths you can take with it. You have the ecology/green angle too.

Yes, they did have the opportunity. To think that Yahoo (or Google, or any well known brand) should register anything with their name in it is simply not prudent. You'd be well versed to check out trademark laws / threads here and elsewhere. It may save you bundles in legal fees down the road. Many have made similar mistakes. Best to cut your losses and go for generics...lot's to choose from.

It would be interesting to know what you had in mind to do with these as well. Do you think that Yahoo would buy them off of you?
