.mobi Mobi Converts

You know what's interesting -- I have not noticed anyone who believed in .mobi STOP believing in .mobi -- while the reverse is happening with great speed. .MOBI is acquiring converts. Even Rick Schwarz I've heard is now quite bullish on it.

Most people that originally believed in Mobi still believe in it. Barely any people have lost faith in it. If anyone has lost faith then they are idiots to have suddenly done so because it should take at least 2 years for it to gain any real attention if it does.

I do agree with the fact that many people who originally thought it would fail now see potential in it.

Overall the Mobi support is growing.

I agree with what you say, and I very much believe .mobi has a good chance.

However, don't you think that the support is actually growing mainly because of the high prices .mobi were sold? Truly, if you did not believe in .mobi on September 26th you could feel that you missed a good opportunity. But, I don't think actual prices .mobi are sold (between a quite small group of domainers) are of any indication. Thus, support is growing now. But, it seems like a vertuous or vicious cycle...

Except that, maybe the fact that it appears very easy to build .mobi sites helps to convert people...But, I don't see any other rationale reason...So yes, support seems growing, but I would not draw conclusions out of it at this stage.

Maybe we can get somebody to compose a song, "I'm a mobi believer!", or, "Mobilove", we can all sing-a-long and post of YOU TUBE -- now how's that for guerilla marketing -- well, I guess not ---

MOBI will light up some eyes if a big conglom like CNN wins "News", or ESPN wins "Sports" etc during RFP and they are develop -- and advertise

otherwise we remain in mobidom --- as little known domainer

Yes, I do believe Mobi is doing very well now because of Speculation and the High Mobi Sales. Otherwise I see almost no reason for Mobi to be doing well this early in the game. Just like the stock market, hype causes inflation, inflation causes hype.

I think Mobi prices will settle down a little bit soon and then skyrocket after the big Mobi names get auctioned off.

Either way, I'm happy just sitting back holding onto my names for the next few years.
