If you look at the source code of the page there is an iframe to 'lespiratesreunis.net' which Domain Tools associates with some 'warez' sites.
It says you have to be 'classy', but it seems the sign-up requirement is $10.00- looks like they're bigging it up as a network for the rich-and-sophisticated (à la ASmallWorld) and hoping a few gullible people think 'oh wow, i can get in for ten bucks'.
I'm dubious to the claim about mixing with celebrities and the world's elite. Shall we all chip in a few cents to buy an account and go celeb-spotting? I pledge 50c...

I actually agree with you.. at $10 a month, I also don't think we'll be rubbing shoulders with Paris Hilton or Warren Buffet.
