Hello,

Looks like all the talk has been true and getting serious.

Microsoft officially announces a $31 per share price for Yahoo or a total price of $44.6 Billion. Yahoo ended trading at $19.18 per share yesterday....so it is a nice premium.

Yahoo stock has been very very soft lately and good timing from Microsoft.

Steve Ballmer , Microsoft's CEO, mentioned that online advertising is a $40 Billion dollar a year business and sees it growing into a $80 Billion a year business in 3 years!

He is forecasting online advertising doubling in 3 years! Optimistic for sure but they have the data and stats.

I would be happy with any and all growth :)

Any one who bought Yahoo shares yesterday would have a massive grin on their faces today.
Yahoo shares are opening with a 50% gain and rising! WOW!

It's funny that yesterday I was reading an article precisely on the possibility of their shares jumping if their shareholders accepted a very good takeover offer. This offer is 62% above yesterdays share price.

GIL :)
