And then a Sleazy Right Wing Moron accuses MJF of faking the whole thing.

Real Class.

hehe...you mean Rush "the man" Limbaugh? I am for the stem cell research but watching the video again makes me wonder if Rush does have a point. Also...he doesn't "attack" Fox...he comments on the performance....I see no attack.

Well, I'd see it as a veiled attack.. I don't know what else you could characterize the statement, "He is an actor, after all.." as, other than an attack on Fox.

I just listened to your audio clip. It seems fine to me. Are you saying he doesn't have a point? Are you saying it's impossible that MJF stops his meds for commercials and appearances when he is lobbying for help on his disease? I know if I was MJF...I would most definitely appear in commercials and in front of congress without my meds to make sure they saw the full impact of my disease. Even Rush said he understands and that Parkinsons is a terrible disease. He just notes that it's unbecoming behavior.

That one comment about him being an actor is what upset me..

Someone else mentioned somewhere that they did a search and can't find any independent verification that MJF does indeed habitually stop his meds for that purpose.. I can understand where he might but I'm not sure that's what he did in this case. Someone else said it's the meds that cause the tremors.. I don't know if that's true either.

Amazing how low you right wing sheep will stoop.
Michael J. Fox has Parkinsons.
Perhaps someday when you or one of your family members gets it you will not be so glib about the issue.

What a sad state of affairs when people are so politically biased that they will attack a man who has been given a death sentence by nature and is trying to raise funds and awareness to prevent others from having to suffer the same fate.

Hopefully the initiative will pass.. I see signs all over my neighborhood to vote against it.

And this just in.. the opposition's video response, set to air tomorrow night:

Set to air tomorrow night, this video stars actor Jim Caviziel (Passion of the Christ), actress Patricia Heaton, and Cardinals pitcher Jeff Suppan opposing the stem cell research initiative in Missouri.

Hi,
Probably a strange subject for my first post but I was wondering; would anyones opinion on the subject change if Michael J Fox acknowledged that he stops taking his medication at times in order to show the full effects of his illness?

I'm with you.. but the general consensus seems to be the meds he's on actually are the cause of the tremors.. or so many say.

Our family is good friends with the Limbaugh's ...

Rush and brother David (author) are both really smart individuals

(I am better friends with David, and really don't
ever see or talk to Rush...)

With that in mind... I back David on anything he says,
and Rush is sometimes "out there'

So i dunno ;) ;)

He has stated that he does not take his medication when he wants people to see the full effects of the disease. I have seen the clip but can't get it to open here. The reasonable assumption would be that he did not take his medication in order to make a point in this instance as well. It would also be reasonable to assume that his medication is not the cause of the swaying.

This is the link that won't open.
