I believe .TV usage is more common in Mexico at least for television programming than in the US. We were in South Texas for a few months recently and I recall seeing several programs with either TV.com or .TV domains. The .COM is king and everything else is garbage crowd can say what they want but if one of the richest men in the world puts big money into developing a .TV site, I believe it is an indication that content producers are moving into the extension.

what, you think *this* is going to magically prop up .tv domain values? how many big announcements just like this before it were supposed to do the same?

i've been in .tv for 6 years now and it sounds like the same old shinola to me. heard it all before. the most that ever happens is a little mini-bubble, a few people dump a few names for a 10-20x roi and then the situation goes back to the same as it ever was.

No i dont think there is anything magical going on but i am not going to come here and whinge about .tv because i got burnt with this extension, we all take our chances and i see no point in complaining about the negative side of life ........... not just in domaining

I develop my names and enjoy doing it so to me this good to read of a financially well backed developer, this one will have some good money behind it and really able do something worthwhile ... is that a bad thing ??

i hope slim makes a very good go of it.

i've just seen so many posts about how much positive impact this or that big development was going to have on .tv and .tv investors that nowadays i cringe a bit whenever i see another. perhaps i over reacted a bit when i saw yours. good luck with your developments!

Ya gotta be in it to win it ....... i feel with things like video plugins and other video based software the opportunity for easier development is starting to become common, who knows maybe the days of video are not all that far way ??
