I am looking at GoDaddy page right now.
It says .com Transfers $6.95/yr includes FREE 1-year extension.

Q:
Does that mean, I am getting 2 years for $6.95 (+$.25 ICANN fee) ?
This comes out to $3.60/ yr
Am I understanding this right?

Thank you.

When you transfer to Godaddy, they renew it for free.

So there's a $6.95 transfer fee, and they also renew the domain.

If you had 6 months left on the domain at another registrar, then you'd have 1 year and 6 months remaining on the domain.

Mm... I'm still confused..

".com transfers $6.95/yr" - This means I can transfer an existing domain for $6.95. This will add 1 year to my exp. date.

"Includes FREE 1-year extension!" - This means I get FREE 1 year extension. So this will add 1 more year to my exp. date.

So, I am adding 2 years to my current exp. date for $6.95.

Am I wrong?
Yikes... Sorry guys... I'm stupid. :'(

It's been a while since i've transferred a name into godaddy... but i believe it's just one year that you'll be getting... the transfer fee of $6.95... is exactly that... a transfer fee.

Then they so kindly give you that year of reg... "for free". :hehe:
