An opportunity for Verse and MV domains?

If (*IF*) FB rebrands as Meta that would be a powerful, influential move that would kinda suck for all the end users purchasing premium Meta domains, because nothing is worst than being confused with a super well known, industry influencing, dominating company.

Most people (what? 95% of the pulsation? ) haven't heard of the metaverse or has no idea what it means bc they heard it once or twice at a party or half asleep doom scrolling,. "Meta" will be introduced to these people along with the idea of a Metaverse for the first time by FB, breaking in their virgin ears, causing their brains to think of FB first when seeing "Meta" nearly everywhere FB is advertising, hosting events, promoting products and services. Whenever a drama spills over in social media as it always does daily from Instagram influencers being murdered by their BFs or conspiracy theorists spreading misinformation, "META" (likely in all caps FACEBOOK STYLE), will be what will be in the headlines.

Facebook is a company with 3 billion accounts. If you are Meta dot ID it will suck and if you are MetaAvatars normies are not going to realize you mean avatars for more than just "Meta".

Metaverse entrepreneurs will be forced to consider other options for associating their brands with the metaverse and quite frankly, too many cos are branding as "Metaverse" already and it's a long AF word let's be honest... You add another word to it and you're looking at 14 - 20 fucking characters and history has proven that domains that long rarely sell for more than 4 fugures.

Could this influence more end users to start snatching verse domains and could this increase the likelihood for more end users to discover "MV" as a branding option? I'd say it's possible AF! Should you go and rush to buy MV domains? I'd say fuck no you shouldn't! That possibility is a huge gamble with unknowable odds, so you're probably flushing your money down the toilet. I'm just sharing my speculation here!

There are many keyword one can use on Reality

The use of META for anything and everything is not TM'd and given only to Zuck

There are several other companies with reality labs and like so names, WIPO is your friend so is google.

It's a bit of a moot point... put "Reality Labs" into Google and it's all about Facebook. Yes meta is already a popular word, but in 12 months time if they've rebranded as meta it will be well known.
