With Facebook Meta coming online, billions in virtual products generate new opportunities for the digital space.

Metafor will be the hot dot com maybe? For example, MetaForBusiness.com MetaForCreators.com MetaForDeveplers.com will contribute to the holy grail of this social experiment called the metaverse.

PS, Here's a few of my own.

metaforcasino.com metaforcbd.com metafortrade.com metaforbank.com metafornft.com metaforhotel.com metaforshopping.com metaforpodcast.com metaforvoice.com

I would love to hear all opinions, gripes, and recommendations.

Thanks,

DC

If you're going to sell the domain around Meta / Facebook, you'll be in trouble. Trademarks exist, forget them as the source of inspiration

m/e/t/a c/a/r(s)
me/t/a b/us/i/n/e/s/s
m/e/t/a d/e/v/s
m/e/t/a t/r/a/d/e
m/e/t/a h/o/t/e/l
m/e/t/a s/h/o/p
m/e/t/a v/o/i/c/e

A pass for the above, the "for" is a domain killer. Little value, IMO

@jhm

Noted, As I did not refer to F/acebook or F/B. for example m/e/t/a/f/b/net etc...
I would be damned if they own all m/etafor and not meta. If this is the case any name with Meta attached would have the issue? m/e/t/a v/o/i/c/e

Thank you for your candid opinions,

DC

It is so generic, and overall just a Greek word. Just not a good idea mentioning them, I'm no trademark expert. Since Facebook changed their name change to "Meta", its a grey area for me, due to their influence on the internet. They are incredibly vast as a company. I personally wouldn't hand reg a "Meta" name, long term. When you registered it, before or after their announcement, may be a factor. Regardless of my paranoia, only a small number will sell well anyway. IMO

I came here to learn, so I really appreciate the words of caution. Would it be wise to delete this post and remain discreet?

Sincerely,

Learning is fine. You don't need to delete the post. The thing is a lot of people have regged Meta trying to cash in. I just have my own view on it. Only a small number of these "Meta" domains will sell regardless, the ones with "for" in them will struggle. IMO
