just curious to know whether meta tags are "trademarked".

for example if i am doing a website on domain name trading and i use all the meta tags from namepros plus a number from other sites.

i mean the tags that are keywords to domain names are sort of limited and everyone that you use will probably be used by someone else.

so RJ, can i "use" the meta tags of namepros;)

would it be bad taste or barely "acceptable"!!

I don't see how a term such as "domain trading" or "domain discussion" could be a TM issue. They are generic terms. Then again, I'm not an attorney. Just my opinion.

code can be protected under some laws but I am sure you can use any meta tags you please with no hitch.

but i guess what he is saying is, can he use 'namepros' and words of that ilk in his meta content. To which i would say 'sure!'. I am pretty positive you would be in breach af ANY protected tm by using said words in the metatags but who'd worry about that. After all, if someone like ebay 'a renowned lititious company' scoured all the meta tag sites that use their tm then theyd have more lawsuits that they do domain sales..........
