Do you think Rick canvasses these sales or do the end users just come to him? Some people just seem to have endless pockets brim full on cash to spend on dubious domain names. They must have big plans in order to recoup this outlay. Makes you wonder if the .com wouldn't have been a better purchase, but's that's just my way of thinking

In this regard, "Meet.Me" looks like a much better, brandable, domain to me, than "MeetMe.com".

I wonder how much the obscene version of this .ME, is priced?

Whoever got this imo it is a great name. Think telepresentation, not just dating, conferencing and so on.

Makes sense for owners of *me.com domain names to get the *.me domain to avoid competition.

If they already owned MeetMe.com, they didn't need to spend $450K on Meet.me, imho. I was actually stating they would have been better of buying meet.com than meet.me.

Meet.com is already an established site/trademark etc, don't think they're for sale.

Plus, when you say it out loud, meet could be meet or meat. But meet me, you can kind of get a feel for what they're going for.

Very well said. If spoken out loud, meet.me describes the context of the website much better than meet.com. Also definitely sounds way better than meetme.com
