ccTLD .md Any value?

Hi,

I have the opportunity to register some good names with .md . How do you think, this is a good investment or not?

It depends, since you are in Moldova, only register domains that can actually be used for the local market. Not gadget domains.
But I doubt it's a good investment, Moldova is a small market and not very rich. Abroad it's used as a gadget TLD.
Only 21000 .md registered, and I bet many if not most are by foreigners.
I also heard these names are expensive.

I read in the internet that Dot MD are domains for doctors, medical institutions, everything related to medicine. Some registrars don't even mention Moldova, just a extension for medicine field. .
I am from Moldova so the fee is 39$/year for me while foreigners have to pay 150$. Also, there is possible to take second level domains for free.

There is an USA company, or site, I can't understand, that have registered all the biggest US cities names and built medical sites on them.

Yes, just like .cc has been marketed as 'credit card', .ws as 'website' and .co as 'company'
But .md sales are very rare.
Unless you have development plans, I would stay away.
Even $39 is not cheap.
I would rather put the money on a solid .com in expired auctions

What do you think about LL.md and CC.md?
Are there any chances to sell them?

These are some .md domains sold.
I don't see any value in random LL/CC .md domains.
Only local market might be interested in these domains.

There are few good hacks in .md. 2nd.md is one of them. A quite successful service. And guess what, they target only the U.S.
