Not sure why the folks at Mazda let this one expire, especially seeing that MazdaCredit.com is their official auto financing website. Before I reg'd it, I did a trademark search and there is no TM on "Mazda Credit", but there is a TM on just about everything thing else dealing with them, their logos and vehicles.

Please appraise.

If I were you, I'd sent a C&D to Mazda, telling them not to use your TM on MazdaCredit!!! That'll teach those b-stards! or...... cancel it and forget it ever happened. $0 Dollars

Read the above and consider it. However, i wouldn't surrender just like that. If anything, i'd contact mazda USA and let them know that you own this domain and you know that they are potentially the stronger entity.
Maybe they are willing to reimburse you for the acquisition or even throw a couple of extra bucks at you. is it worth the headache? yeah, i think it is, due to the fact that you establish the first contact, knowing the situation and not trying to play any games with them.
if all else fails, surrender the domain to them as a donation or even better ask for a few bucks to be donated from mazda, in your name to a charity of choice.

bottom line: the NPers are right, its a lawsuit waiting to happen. so, be proactive.

This is extremely poor advice. This would be even worse than holding the domain (as it demonstrates bad faith). Only contact them if you are interested in handing it over to them for free or at your cost.
