There is a recent thread that points out a few interesting things about .xyz

- It is cheap hence it is bought in bulk number for spam/scam purposes
- People (not domainers) on social media talk about it so
- Since lot of websites (atleast to the common people) contained on .xyz domain names are spam/scam sites, I believe you will have a tough time finding an end-user for the domain name.

Also, since its $1 to $2 reg fee, domainers may pay upto $10 max if you want to flip it now.
