Marketing Your Web/Print Design business?

I have a Web/Print design that I am trying to market. I don't know the first thing about marketing a business like this.

I am considering using direct mail to advertise, and possibly selling door to door to business.

I've got a Marketing Package I want to put together, along with business cards.

Anyone run a successful small design studio? Let me know how you did...or any help would be appreciated!
