I know they are doing a lot, but DM needs to do for dot tv like Go Daddy did for domain names. The "average" person out there knows more about domain names cause Go Daddy put bucks into promotions.

I STILL have to explain to folks that, "yes dot TV NOT dot Com when I try to tell them to go to a .tv site, they give me this 'puzzled' look. Anything less guys, and we'll still be treading water and preaching to the choir this time next year. Too bad with the growing amount of video online, dot TV has NOT taken the lead--too bad youtube wasnt youtube.tv.

We NEED a Go Daddy type promotion to bring it home to the masses--that means popular TV, major newspapers and publications, radio etc. I'm trying to believe, but its getting harder.

agree with Boboski.....in fact you were actualy quoting one of my questions I put to quinn in my interview with her, including the Godaddy comparison

I got the relatively bland response that this was not in their plans as part of their marketing efforts....

I do not really understand AT ALL why not........the key to .TV success is simple - I keep on repeating it - CRITICAL MASS......a company can buy BUSINESS TV and the extension is at the mercy of the owners if they do not do anything really decent with it......but have hundreds of thousands of developed .TV sites and we all become filthy rich (well most of us anyway!!)

There is no quicker way to critical mass IMO than some really good TV advertising..thats real TV advertising......

Cannot understand it at all...which is why my name is not richard rosenblatt!!!

It could be that demand has blown thier wad on an overpriced single core athlon server and the double ram to 1 gb.

Quit frankly, if they don't plan on advertising, aren't going for mass market appeal and are sitting back waiting for people to buy the Premiums and price them.....then I would have to question if Rosenblatt thinks a little too much of his draw after a couple of big sells.

If that is their plan, then their is literally no point in counting on them for anything. In fact, it sounds more like a side business he is keeping around for a tax write off more than anything else.

We should start a .tv chamber of commerce or trade orginitazion and collect dues from people who join and use that cash for tv spots..

Ill make all the spots for free...I have the equipment and know how and advertising on local cable channels is cheap..

We also need a couple of lobbist in DC...

lets do it dudes..leyts make .tv the worlds televison staion.
