Question for all drop snipers/monitors:

Did you notice lately, that BD is aquiring lots of 4 letter domains that are released into the wild ?

I monitor each day several thousend preselected domains.
(Basically to cherry pick the unforged diamonds)
Durnig my activity I sometimes I take a look who was faster than me.

I have seen the following regarding many LLLL.com.
Between 50% an 75% of the 4 letter domains I monitor end up at BuyDomains.
? Can anybody confirm this ?

I also heard of several ppl that BD aproached them to buy 3/4 letters for cheap.
(offers arround 20$ per LLLL).

? Is BD about to push up LLLLs by shorten availability ?

Did I miss something or am I just paranoid ?

Buydomains pick up about 10+ LLLL.com daily on average since mid 2005. They are also very aggressive with snapname bids. Overall this is their best selling category, and they made tons of money on them. Just check dnjournal sale price.

I guess they are snapping them up while they are cheap to sell to Businesses that prefer LLLL acronyms - probably a pretty safe bet if you can afford to hold them for many years (which they can).

There are 457K combinations. I can see how they are even making a dent.

456,976 total LLLL.coms @ $6.50 per year = 2.97 million $ per year in renewals (if you could get them all).
A mutual fund, REIT, or other investment trust with that level of expenses is playing for pennies.

There are less than 50,000 remaining LLLL.coms in the wild. @ $6.50 = $325,000 per year.
Many stock firms will not talk to you if that is all you have to invest.

$325,000 will get you THREE SHARES of Berkshire Hathaway stock.

Do I think LLLL.coms are on the edge of a buyout?
Sure looks like it to me.

BRK-A shares are also the highest priced stock shares in history because Warren Buffett refuses to split the stock. Aside from maybe Goldman Sachs I would think that with 300k you will be able to open an account with a stock firm. Having over 300k in dispensible cash is a lot of money.
