Manchester.tv is about to drop on Monday 21st Sept. It baffles me as to why someone would pay $3000 to register a domain for 1yr and then let it drop without really attempting to recoup their losses. Even a sale at $100 is better than nothing......
I noticed that this was offered for sale in April of this year for $15,000. Along with this years renewal this would have been a first year $18,000 investment for any potential buyer. Obviously there were no takers.......So why didn't the seller set their sights lower instead of being so stubborn in that the domain is eventually dropped!!!....Which is advantageous to no one except the registrar.
I'm sure there must be someone out there who could make a really great site with this domain for which an outlay of $3000/yr would be a drop in the bucket! Now that it is going to drop it is likely to be re-priced at least double/triple, pushing it further away from development. :td:
