I ordered Managed VPS, the guy wont set it up saying I need to order VPS unmanaged.

I am like. WTF, you want me to order the other thing?

How should I deal with this? I posted to paypal to cancel, but paypal wont escalate it until a week later.

What to do in this situation?

That sounds very stupid to me since a managed VPS means they should at least install the control panel and OS for you.

My advice is to find a reliable VPS provider. I have a small VPS with igxhost.com and have been very happy with their service. Their support will do pretty much anything to help.

EDIT: I just noticed that you said they have set it up but want you to now change to the unmanaged VPS. My advice is to ask the provider for a refund if you are not happy with the service.

They have not set it up, they want me to order both manage and unmanged vps to be service. I told them I thought manage vps means I get a server and ips and stuff. But they say no, they say I need to also order the unmanaged to get it up.

I asked for a refund, the guy said, he will give me an unmanage vps for free now (with the manage vps) I was like. NO thanks. Please refund, and nothing happens. YET.

Paypal on the other hand I can't escalate until 7 days after the purchase...wtf.

------------------

So I ordered from another host (2 days) ago, the host ran out of ips. I said I want out now since you can't set me up.
So now I receive an email saying that the host has changed owner and cannot refund but would try to set me up.

I was like wtf...another ...anyway. I am not sure if the second host is lying, but if I wait for a few days like 2 days after paying for service they guy is saying "we ran out of ips, we need to get you one, please wait".................

And he wont refund because its under new management, the old owner who took the money is gone he say.....UNBELIEVABLE! this is my first vps buying experience.

Well I am selecting another one now (this will be the third vps) I heard its very good from a member.
Not sure if the member is a sales guy or the owner. Its Amerinoc.com

Site loads very fast, prices are very nice. (I love the speed) and 24x7 support.
I'll try it now.

Have you got a chance to check what comes under managed and un-managed hosting services from your preferred host ?
If you are planning to order a VPS don't forget to check VPS-TOS if your new webhost have any such documentation.
