A good keyword single word domain. This one has potential, especially as a free email service provider, this one xcould be big in netherlands for sure. Without development too this name is surely in the high xxx to low xxxx range. Good Luck with the domain!

Thanks for your input, rep+!

Hmm, not sure, thought there were very tight restrictions on ownership of .nl names- this could affect the potential end users and limit the number of resellers interested. I may be wrong though...

Strong name.
Perfect for free E-mail service. Or paid E-mail why not, so you can recoup your costs :hehe:
Or at least some ads could help bring some revenue.
I would appraise at low $$$$ undeveloped.
Great name.

In Holland the use of English language is quite common (I was born there and visit frequently). The biggest Dutch newspaper (De Telegraaf) has just started a website called www.gametoday.nl , this website is totally targeted at Dutch visitors (website language is also Dutch). They also will start soon a website called www.newz.nl (now still redirected, also targeted at Dutch visitors). Another sample is www.insidegamer.nl I know the guys involved and they recently sold this site to a Dutch magazine company, again targetted at Dutch visitors and language is Dutch. So basically an English name and Dutch (.nl) extension does not hurt at all and that makes it extra valuable IMO.

Mail.nl is a good catch, IMO it is worth high $$$$, basically if it was mine I wouldn't sell for less than $10,000 as I know in Holland there are several potential interested parties for this name. For example KPN, that is the biggest mail, internet and telephone company, they could be interested (maybe you can even contact them) and they also have no problem buying up English names as they just bought www.mine.tv for a online tv website (interestingly mine.nl is owned by a Dutch bank), again mine.tv: English name, targetted at Dutch visitors, language is Dutch). Do not rush to sell this one, take your time and it will pay off IMO. Good luck! John.

.NL registry says MAIL.NL is excluded from registration, but for some reason moniker let me register.. ignore this thread (maybe a mod can close it?)

I've got to give moniker a call and get a refund.

Ahem- -- .nl (Netherlands): local address required for registration. Dutch citizens can only register one .nl domain; Dutch companies can register multiple .nl domains. Apparently much tighter control than say .us too.
:td:

I'm not the best at .nl names, however I would shoot for mid-high $XXX.

EuroDNS says for .nl regs that if you don't have a local contact then EuroDNS will act as the contact. So I think there's no great prob in regging .nl domains.

I stand corrected :red:
Might wander over there...

Wow that's a really nice name. I wouldn't see the point in developping a site yourself (it's kind of hard to compete with gmail, hotmail, and yahoo these days) but you could probably pull mid-high $xxx if you find a good enduser. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if you made low $xxxx.

Good luck with the domain :)
