CTB-Locker or CryptoLocker is the most famous Trojan-ransom (ransomware) infection that scans your computer for data files and encrypts them so they are not accessible and repairable without the unique encryption key. In order to get the key and decrypt your files you need to send a ransom of $XXX or sometimes even more.

So the niche is good. It's a bit specific for a reseller imo. I'm not familiar with the niches, but I think an end user might pay high $xx to low $xxx.
