lxz.net & high Alexa domain missed on SN

I had bid $399 on lxz.net, but good ol' saggydimes outbid me by $5.

I was also bidding on zaabi.net - an arabic domain that has a stupidly high Alexa rank - about 130k, along with hundreds/thousands of backlinks. I bid $99, and again lost out by $5 (I'm pretty good at sticking to my budget!).

So did I miss out on a great deal in either case, or did I 'escape'?!

no - OVT on lxz = 0 plus selection of characters not appealing... didn't you find it strange that most LLL.net go for min $600/700 and that one was $400?

i'd say you escaped.. in fact going to drop you a PM and let you know lol...

if i were you i'd take zaabi.net but hey if you can't afford it then you can't afford it. It is that simple, but 5$ i'd make arrangement.

agree w/smub zaabi.net would have been good purchase, but problem w/Alexa traffic sites is after auction drop & assuming you park 9/10 times traffic will drop dramatically..

Yeah I was more bothered about zaabi than lxz - couldn't find one acronym/use for those letters! But I was curious about regging a domain with so much traffic, just to see what would have happened. If I'd been around at the end of the auction I might have gone higher - there was only one other bidder (besides halvarez who seems to bid $60 on everything!).
