Hey guys, what would you think luckybrand.com is worth? OV shows 620 typeins with extension.

FYI-The reason I am requesting some opinions is because I am considering purchasing this name from the owner. LuckyBrandJeans.com tried to take the name from him back in 1999 but lost the battle. No TM issues right now anyway. I just want the traffic really.

Are you sure about the TM issues. I have seen lucky brand jeans.

Well, I have been speaking with the current owner of the domain and he tells me the LUCKYBRANDJEANS folks have attempted to take the name from him 4 years ago but weren't successful. He says he has owned the name since 1999 and has also had several casino's contact him with interest in leasing the name. To date his son has been using the name. All I know for now.

What happened with the 1999 UDRP case here? Wonder if there is a link somewhere referencing the claim, or perhaps it never got that far.

Not sure CH. This is heresay based on what the owner is telling me. With that name I am almost positive there is truth to the story.

Okie. Remember, Overture aren't "type-in's".
Can you get some actual traffic details from the current owner, then based on that and your research for the potential for future ™ issues from the "Jeans" site, I would make my determination, in my view.

Hey CH. Could you point me in the right direction by providing me with a good link that will show typeins? I remember speaking of OV in the past and was told that when using the "extension" that it isn't necessarily typeins, but is there a place or a way to find out actual statistics. I would love to know so that when I make future inquiries or purchases I can have some general idea of knowing what type of traffic the name gets.

The only way to get actual "type-in's/traffic" is to park/host the domain name and check the stats, that I'm aware of.
There is no exact science translation from Overture search results with the extension to "type-in's", though certainly it's better to have them than not ... means folks were looking (searching) for it exactly (on Overture). You'll need to ask the Seller for the precise information, IMHO.
Are they at all reluctant to provide this to you?

I don't think getting the info will be an issue at all. So, basically if I understand the OVERTURE portion of it correctly, the typeins you with extension at inventory.overture are for actual OVERTURE searches?

If they can provide the actual information/stats to you, that's the best yes. The Overture "tool" is search results in a given month, correct.
