.tv Low Level Geo's Are they worth it??

I came across a couple of small cities that were available for normal reg and I took some of them.

danbury.tv Conneticut pop 78,736.
fairbanks.tv Alaska pop 31,324
champaign.tv Illionis pop 71,568

In general are cities like this good buys for standard reg fee? The only tld left was .TV

I'm just wondering what the people with experiece dealing with geo names think about the small cities if the big cities contiune to rise?

I appreciate any feedback regarding this matter.

Hey,

Personally i think buying small city .tv's will be decent investments over the long term.
I wouldnt imagine any of the small city names selling for a very large fee but once .tv is much more well know then i think you could sell them on for a reasonable profit.

Persoannly i think small city .tv's are very good development potential but of course there is many factors to decide between the good/bad cities to develop such as Overture, are other extensions taken, is the .com developed for that city, economy of the city, Population...etc

I done a search for US Geo's last night and found there is a great many small cities available which could be great for deveelopment, particularly if you live in the city and have inside knowledge on what residents would want from their .tv.

As i look further into the 3 .tv's you listed then i come to the conclusion that they may not be worth the reg fee after all.

Although i am a big fan of Geo's i think you could get plenty of stronger city names than the ones you bought.

Neither of the geo's you listed have particularly high overture or population which could make development or resale much harder than with some of the stronger names. It is my opinion that you could get many stronger City tv's still at Reg fee with lots more potential though i guess all this doesnt matter too much if you have a development plan for these names.
