The Recently Sold Domain list at SH shows Lotion.com sold for $2,499.
Way too cheap right? What could be the reason, seller needed money due to pandemic effect? Seller doesn't actually know domain value? Possible a glitch (maybe meant to say $24,999 or even $249,999?O_o

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
Yes, the price was way to cheap but I bought it anyway just to be sure. You never know when you might have a twist of fate :)

The logo said Lotion.com but as it turns out the domain that was being offered was iotion.com -- you can see how it looks like Lotion when the i is in caps (Iotion.com).

At any rate, when this was clarified by SH, I asked for, and was immediately granted a full refund. Hopefully SH will remove it from their "sold" list (in the SH sellers dashboard - which auto-updates in real time) - as it's a bit misleading to say that it sold.

iotion.com still redirects to squadhelp so it was certainly that name that sold - if you see it in the recently sold just ctrl+f "iotion".

the logo is just a mistake on the designers part.

I think it's inappropriate and misleading, and this type of logos should not be accepted.

It may be technical glitch. lotion would be easy 6 fig name.

I could have bought it for way more than that! LOL!

Its not a .com, must be some other TLD or, some other SLD (or, an IDN that looks like Lotion). Lotion.com still appears to be held by DigiMedia as part of their portfolio...

Nah, If they thought it was really Lotion.com the price wouldn't be $2,499, as Squadhelp are the ones who choose the domain price at the end and not the seller. It would've been close to 6 figures.

This tells me it more of an automated process;
The logo and name misscapitalized

It definitely begs the question

How did this one slip through?? @GrantP

I saw this sale too... 99.9% the domain is 'iotion'

Can anyone tell me why Squadhelp thought it'd be a good idea to put the logo as "Lotion". What the hell?
If I'm not mistaken, SH have a team of logo designers, Iotion was what they saw, they thought it's a small L instead of Capital i, so they designed the logo as Lotion, and the team that reviewed the name knew it was iotion hence the price $2,499
In essence, everybody did his job right, the Problem was just a conflict of understanding.

It was a logo designer error and it fell through the cracks. Mistakes happen.

You can always verify by typing the Url in your browser to see if it goes back to the Squadhelp Buy Now page for that specific name. All SH sellers are required to change their domain's nameservers to ns1.squadhelp.com and ns2.squadhelp.com so a little bit of Domains 101 work will allow all future buyers to verify what they are getting before making a purchase.

Auto correct
Lotiion?
Lootion?
Lottion?

I'm with you, I agree.

There's not one iota of a chance that it was lotion.com ;)

Capital “i” looks like lowercase “L”

mistakes happen. Keith was even refunded...

lets @GrantP see if he’ll post outside sh thread
