No I am not a bot, or trying to setup a scam.
I've been wanted to run a music related website for quite some time now.
The whole idea of the website is mostly for guitarists(electric, bass, acoustic), drummers, vocalists, bands, and more.
The members on the website will hold competitions. The user records him/her self playing their instrument, what genre of music that he or she is writing/playing and then that becomes a contest. ONE other user sees the contest on the home page, likes it, and posts his/her recording. Then from there any user on the website can vote for whichever one he/she likes. The membership costs though to join. There is more though. The membership lets say we post it for $5/month. The user not only gets access to the contests, but they get access to the tablature from the contests, free lessons(web based), and free excersizes. In the long run, if the website gets higher ranked and earns quite a bit of money, I wanted to start having contests/giveaways, the user joins the contest, they have to do something in return, I would buy say, a nice guitar overdrive pedal, and give it to the winner.
The only problem with doing so. Is finding someone to cover the costs of a designer and hosting costs. I can get the domain and I can develop the backend of the website.
The website needs php and mysql active on the server with cpanel and phpmyadmin.
I know this is quite a bit to ask for, the price of a designer and hosting.
I can find the designer, pretty cheap, and the hosting is up to you, as long as it has enough to handle quite a bit of audio files, and has quite a bit of bandwidth.
Think about it though, each membership you get $5/month for or whatever it is set as.
I also plan on creating a download archive of guitarpro files (songs created by me)
