Hi All

There used to be a great google tool that told you how many times a search term was used. Is it still around and if so can anyone tell me where.

Thanks

Sorry dude...

hate to break it to you but she is long gone.... :(

They have updated the cr@p out of it and now you get "estimate" search results like this for example: Searches per month 1k - 10k ...they give a range and not accurate amount of searches anymore... very wide range as well...so if a keyword gets 120k searches it will say 100k-1million
Only if you are paid adwords user will the give you the more accurate results that we used to get for free

Rather use SEMrush - limited amount of queries per day but it generates accurate search results...

Thanks I feared that. I remember when Google founders toured Australia in with hat in hand explaining their devotion to making an incredible search engine and asking Uni lecturers and professors to get behind their attempt for a better internet. They seem to be entirely focused on making billions and serving the CIA now days. Very sad. I will be glad when and if Mozilla founders ever get enough support to get back to basics and kick Googles proverbial butt. Unfortunately we have all been trained to seek the easiest possible rout to money and google offers that in one hand so people overlook the getting screwed behind the scenes part.

Are the rebel in me waffles again.

Guess we all wanted that old keyword tool with accurate numbers back :)

Sadly they also stripped keywords from referring URLs/search queries.

When I remember correctly a reason (one of many) was because SEO's focused more on keyword (stuffing, etc) than content quality and authority content.

Good to see that you are also aware of who they currently serve and what their agenda is :)

Well said.

Not being evil
does not automatically equate to being good.

Long gone now.

Recent changes have made the free Keyword Planner tool useless.

There are not any comparable free services as most are pretty limited unless you pay.

I guess the free ride is gone forever.

Yes you are right. Google has cleverly crept everyone up to believing that and believing that that way of thinking and behaviour is right. many terrorist converts are only converts because scum like google have pushed the world that way. Biggest profits are in share price manipulation by screwing small people.
