Hello, generally its nor easy because Joomla is havy script as well. There is a chance to find FREE PHP/MySQL hosting but most likely Joomla won't work there as usually FREE hosting services have a lot of restrictions.

I don't know if I'm allowed to put links here but anyways, here are 2 freehosts I've tried:
phpnet.us (you are allowed up to 5 accounts, banner-free and you're allowed to have your own ads)
moved.in (only one account, you're not allowed to have ads)

If the intention of your website is for the business, then it is preferable to avoid free hosting.

marlins59,

If your joomla installation is not that much resource consuming and is not meant for business purpose, go or a free host. Otherwise I fear smooth running of your application as there will be some sort of limitations.

You may try www.ej.am

it needs firstly 10 posts, and then automatically you may request and get your hosting quickly. every 15 days, you have to visit the website. That's all

it give 300 mb web space, 3 gb monthly traffic.

you may want more, then post more.
