Hi all,

I am looking for brokers to sell my domains. Most of the brokers I contacted only sell premium one word or LLL domains. I need someone who can sell average and above average domains for $500 - $2000.

Anyone interested?

A few domains I have..

InteriorDesignCanada.com
AccuTicket.com
naxev.com
Accuidentity.com
RCdetective.com

profitable.one
featured.one
examine.one
accurate.one

Commission - 10% to 30% depending on the broker.

There is a reason why brokers require high price tag domains.

They spend in average the same amount of time per domain and get the same % off the sale. So, even if they charge you 30%, on 1000$ domain that is $300, they have to spend, let's say, 4 hours marketing it, with 5% chance of sale. 5% x $300 = $15 or $3.75/hour spent.

Plus, there is a considerable supply of $10,000+ names to keep all of them busy for the time being.

The drama is that brokers will not bother with 'low-value' domains. The sales commission does not justify the time and effort (or they will just list and wait - you can do that too). They want premium domains.
But premium domain sell for themselves. They don't need brokers although a qualified broker can help sometimes.

The brokers should only accept names for which they can guarantee a sale. So if 4 hours will be spent on a domain, it will give them $75/hour, right?

For those like me with a small portfolio of about 50 domains, it feels like we are going to wait forever. And it's not like I am not doing any work. I contact end-users, have listed my domains on multiple platforms, but I have received no replies, no offers and no bids. So a broker would be very useful.

And most important, it is easier to sell premium domains. Everyone wants easy money.

You can never 'guarantee' that a domain will sell, unless it is absolutely premium - and priced right.
But if you have a premium domain, you'll normally get unsolicited offers, even without lifting a finger.

Domain names are not ordinary commodities. They are illiquid assets because there is not a lot of demand.

If you own a Picasso, no problem. You go to Sotheby's, put it on auction and collect your check.
If you are trying to sell your grandmother's paintings (or some unknown, non-rated artist), then you'll struggle to find a motivated buyer, that in fact may not exist at all.

If you are certain you have good domains, then be patient. It can take years to sell. Sometimes you'll have to refuse offers and hold out for the right buyer. Not long ago, I sold a name I originally registered in 2006.

Nobody can guarantee a sale in most of the cases. He also has to lock the name before brokering, because otherwise buyer might try to undercut him or seller might sell to somebody else.

I like this Analogy. Very Apt !

If you are trying to sell your grandmother's paintings (or some unknown, non-rated artist), then you'll struggle to find a motivated buyer, that in fact may not exist at all.

Good points and very true. I personally think that less than 1% of ALL registered domains are worth more than reg fee on the aftermarket. And only very, very few are "guaranteed" to sell. Mainly short .COMs.

Ps. I have (also) sold several names this year that I bought 8-15 years ago. they were originally bought for development, but either the project was stopped, or I just got lazy.

@Kate You are absolutely right and fortunately I know all that stuff.

If I had premium domains I wouldn't even look for a buyer because I know they will sell themselves so I don't need to waste money by giving commissions to brokers.

Was looking for brokers, not discussions :D

By the word 'guarantee', I meant that the broker can have that 'feeling' that he can sell that domain. I am not a native english speaker so I don't know which word should replace 'guarantee'.

+ The broker and the domain owner will obviously have an agreement which will include what you said :)

@Haris100 - Your thread has been moved to the proper forum for broker requests. Please update your thread to include at least one of your domains for broker consideration. Posting your best domain would be the most beneficial.

Thanks,

I repeat myself, brokers in the domain industry prefer to sell premium domains just because they sell very easy.
The point of a broker is to be able to sell almost anything to anyone, but this isn't considered in the domain industry. They are just promoters.

That's true but I think that I can find someone here who can help me out :)

If I had premium domains I won't be looking for a broker. Just auction them with the right reserve price and they would sell. Or just list them for free.

I don't think so. Almost all of members here have their own portfolio to sell. The best help you can get is to learn how to sell your domain by yourself. ;)
BTW good luck
