I am looking to get an affiliate for my website compareecocars.com compareecocars.com
As you can see I think it would work better than the google ads I have on it.

Would anyone know what affiliates I should look in to. Cj.com has been advised to me.
I would be looking for good ppc.

eBay motors.

CJ now has "green" merchant categories so you can probably find things to cross-sell. People interested in ecologically-friendly cars are probably interested in other earth-friendly items. Probably won't find any that are PPC - they will be per sale or possibly something that's per lead.

Your site will do far better if you have actual vehicle COMPARISONS, or at least articles, in your own words. Copied content from manufacturers won't get you any search engine love and could invoke the wrath of the respective companies.

Yes.Thats the next step,I currently have a second format that I am makng right now.New content and actual comparisons.I want to see what the idea was like though, comparing eco cars,I think it will work.I made that site in 4 hours but wont publish the next for about a week. This is why I was looking for alternatives to google.

You mentioned using ebay motors? Ok so if I use them am I contracted to not using anyone other than them per site?Could I add cj.com + ebay motors?

I would also be interested to know how they let you program the ads into the site..do they look the same as google or are they more flexible?

You can use both. But when you sign up be sure you read the program terms because there are things you're NOT allowed to do. Same will hold true for any CJ merchant whose program you join. Program policies and terms and conditions are long, wordy and kind of boring, but if you don't want to get kicked out of programs and forfeit commissions, always read :).

They have a variety of widgets and banners as well as the editor kit. The editor kit lets you select listings to display based upon keywords and categories you choose. For example, you could create a display with 10 listings of a particular make and model of car. Or a particular type of car part. You put the listings on your page with a couple of lines of Javascript they provide. A little more work up-front than Adsense, but you can fine-tune it to show exactly what your visitors are interested in.

Don't expect a bunch of your visitors to go buying cars on eBay, but here's the thing: Once they click over there people tend to browse and bid on other things. Sometimes they go on big eBay shopping sprees. You'll get commission for those too, as long as it's within the cookie duration window (30 days) and yours was the last eBay affiliate link they clicked before that bid. And if someone DOES buy a car, that commission shouldl be pretty sweet!

Are there affiliates that deal solely with Ford,Audi etc.Where my links would send them direct to the manufacturer or dealerships etc. Those wanting to buy an eco car, check out the comparisons,I send them to the dealership?

My advice is to ask directly to the auto-company sites for them to advertise to yours. You can ask them some monthly rate. Affiliate marketing just through banners in your site can't get much of revenue unless you actually sell cars directly from the large auto companies.

I wouldn't go to the manufacturers -there won't be much benefit for them to advertise on your site. But you can approach various area dealers - see if you can work out some kind of arrangement where you send them leads for a fee. Set up a "find a dealer near you" page for visitors,

You might do OK with ads for other "green" products and services. People visiting a reviews site are still in the investigational stage and probably not immediately ready to purchase, but chances are anyone looking for an eco friendly car may be interested in other earth-friendly products so there's an opportunity to "cross-sell", especially if you talk about the other products in addition to just posting banners.

Whatever you decide to do, good luck with it!

Yes I think I will do both, dealers and eco products.
I expect the site to be totally overhauled in about 2 weeks. All fresh content.I have seen plenty of adverts for eco cars recently.2 months back when I started to buy them there were only 200 exact searches per month for the term eco car.Now there is 6400 exact for eco car.Thats a big jump in 2 months. All the car manufacturers are jumping on the eco/sales.

Alot of the new cars are being branded with the term eco in it.I.e fiesta-eco, Fiat Panda 1.1 Active ECO,Ford pushing their new term ECOnetic with the car name.Seems every manufacturer wants an eco image car.

Ive spent 2 months getting 15 domains eco/car related.

Seems like they also want to include the hybrid cars in the eco, along with electric cars too.So they are trying to rebrand the whole hybrid/electric cars with the term Eco instead.I can see why too.

I'd rather buy an Eco car than electric car.I think the term will flourish in the next 6 months what with the tv adverts for eco cars.So this is why I am hoping to get the site fully functional for the boom.
