Error
We're sorry...

... but we can't process your request right now. A computer virus or spyware application is sending us automated requests, and it appears that your computer or network has been infected.

We'll restore your access as quickly as possible, so try again soon. In the meantime, you might want to run a virus checker or spyware remover to make sure that your computer is free of viruses and other spurious software.

We apologize for the inconvenience, and hope we'll see you again on Google.

It's just a temporary thing, probably because of another computer in your network as you said. Was it for a specific query? Or did everything you tried give the same result?

My home connection was once blocked from searching for "phpinfo" for an hour or so, assuming it was because someone on the same ISP was infected.

Lol... i've got this error before, and i was on Linux + using Dialup ... so no question about virus + virus on my network since there was no network anyway!

Oh..
I got this error message too

But they only appear when i am on the 11th result page.

No question about Virus, using T1, clean network..
and i always have it whenever i am on the 11th result page.

I was thinking that may be it is because of Firefox because i use Google Search bar from firefox browser, the one that is beside URL bar

I have seen this problem reported at several other places. Seems to be some kind of bug.

Strange but interesting. 2 things.

1. The thing about Google - keep us updated

2. You run antivirus on a MAC. Many computer "experts" tell us we should all switch to MAC because they are virus/spyware free. So why do they even bother to make antivirus programs for them? I knew it was just all BS.

Thanks for the post.

This will happen when Google detects what it believes is spam coming from your IP range. Theyโ€™ll just ask for you to enter a code to make sure your not an automated spammer.

i know why this happens its not googles fault you must have searched something like "Powered by phpbb 2.0.16" or something like and and it gets blocked, and manny viruses search for stuff like this for you, if you didnt search for something bad then you should do a spyware or virus scan.

I'm on a computer networked with over 100 other computers right now and I'm sure one of them has something... Google works fine for me.

Like i said it only happens when you search ilegal stuff to find failures on sites

Ah alright I thought I read that if you're networked with a virus computer then you're screwed.

This can happen if you are scanning droplists which produce google results.

This happened to me after using a free domain scanner (I can't remember the name). After using the program for a while, my google homepage showed those same errors. After a couple of hours the homepage would be fine again. :)

Failing that, it could be Adware/Spyware infection. I recommend....
