Logo Contest $50

I am in need of a logo for my new site which is still in development. I would like it to scream drag racing. Throw away the corporate BLAH and have some fun!

hey koncepts you should really put watermarks in your images or someone will come and snatch them and if they do and use them in they're own logo and you were to win with it then the logo that wins will not be orignal but used else where too.
Not trying to be mean just helpful and i think they are really good too so,

Sorry it took so long to get back to you all. Based on the feedback we got from several friends and family here is what I came up with. You will have to decide if these revisions are worth it to you to continue.

dvirhazout: Really like your original idea. The simplicity of the line drawing is what we liked. Your second was good, but it is a dragster and we are looking for a funny car (http://www.kissonline.com/news/images/cars/funnycar.jpg) Also in your second entry you went away from the lines, we would like the profile or line drawing of the funny car.

Saves Th3 Day: Really like this design, especially the text. I think we need to move away from the Tach all together. Simplify the design more and focus more on the flames and the text coming together(possibly even no flames at all). I hope you are willing to give this a shot. Just FYI I looked over your portfolio and loved your logo for MotoXCross. The design you have done for us looks similar but doesn't stand out as much.

mav: Several people thought your logo stood out the most. I still haven't seen a revision from you so maybe you have lost interest. If not, I think pulling the flames around to the text and making the text stand out more would bring this closer to what we are looking for. Here are some additional ideas we got: Round out the tach, no grey in the tach, gradient from yellow to red only, white out the inside black area of the tach and put the text inside, change font and colors of font. Just some feedback we got.

koncepts: Really like your first one, though we are thinking we need to move away from the tach all together. Would love to see more custom, unique text and the flames somehow pulled together better with the text. I hope you're willing to give it a shot I think you do a great job.

-Phoenix-: Thank you for your entry. You have some unique ideas and some interesting special effects. These aren't quite what we are looking for but would love it if you would like to submit something else based on the ideas we have given.

will7: I've seen your work and am looking forward to your entry.

We are considering adding a 2nd and 3rd place if we can just get a little closer to a solid logo that really makes a statement.

I hate to make my first post on thie forum one that attacks someone, but I find plagarism in both writing and in art appauling, thus I feel the need to expose -Pheonix- as a fraud.

In his second logo, he uses the "tire on fire" design, which is the same exact design (minus his addition of tired treads) that comes as an example file in "Total Training for Website Design - Extreme Website Makeover".

Well, this was harder then I thought it would be. Here is what I have come up with.
