I'm looking for a logo for my new football/soccer site slidingtackle.com

I will pay $70 to the winning designer. I would prefer lighter colours, im thinking green, blue etc. I have seen some of the previous attempts, particularly in crazyd's thread and i must say they were excellent. I hope for the same quality in this thread and i look forward to seeing your designs.

Payment will be made to the winning designer via paypal. The closing date is 17th June 12 noon UK TIME.

I of course reserve the right to refuse all entries if i consider them unsuitable.

Prizes:

1st: $70
2nd: $20
3rd: $10

Which text effect?

The one with a blue gradient background and a light grey border about 3px out. Also a slight glow there too I think.

Don't take it offensively, just a little light-hearted joke

There can be a second and third prize, however i will then have to lower the first prize. It would work as follows:

1st: $40
2nd: $20
3rd: $10

as opposed to: 1st: $70

I have created a poll if anyone wants to vote on this, it will give a better indication of what the general opinion is.

The poll ends two days from this post and all votes are anonymous.

I understand why some will want this more than others, however IMO and in analysis of what you have submitted so far, you are all capable of a first place.

Personally i think the poll should be held at the start of a project, to set every thing concrete, because i know that quiet a few designers here, pick which competitions they enter according to the prize money, and i think having a poll at the end of a competition, most votes will relate to how well a designer is doing in the competition....just my two cents

I think it looks way better than my last rubbish entries, lol! Vector-made in Illustrator and, if chosen, supplied in .jpg, .gif, .eps and .ai formats.

Please give me feedback.

As for my feeling about prizes, why not stick to the original 1st prize of $70, then just give out about 3 other prizes of like $5. Surely you can afford an extra $15 on top of the $70? I think that might work well ...

Second Prize $15
Third Prize $5

Or just make First & Second Prize ...
First Prize $50
Second Prize $20

Yeh i know i completely understand your perspective on this. It was indeed my mistake, for this i do apologise.

I will take everyone's opinions on what should happen into consideration and give you an answer in the feedback tonight.
