Local Community Website?

I have MyCity.info and I think I should develop it, but I don't really know what all I should have. I am thinking about having:

• local news
• weather
• current events
• business directory

Anything else I should add? Also, is there a good script for this, or should I just get a directory script and make the rest?

As far as scripts go, have you checked on hotscripts? look under php scripts in virtual communities. they have may free and paid scripts for something like this.

I checked, but it seems all the scripts are for social networking or clan sites.

As for the forum, classifieds, and dating, I would prefer not to have anything where I would have to constantly moderate.
