Looks decent. I would suggest centering the splash page and maybe using a non-default joomla template.

Your splash page, when compared with the actual site would probably drive people away - have a better one or don't have a splash!

Otherwise, it's sort of templatey, if you get my meaning here. I'd move a couple of things around, de-clutter and remove some boxes, but the header looks pretty good
