I still need to add content and change some of the menu links. I'm just wondering how my design looks.

The search box as well as the guests online indictator use AJAX.

The website is meant to be a tech deals website with a caribbean theme.

I like this!

Small suggestions:
- Match the background color (and the AdSense title bar) to the blue of the sky in the main banner. What you did GREAT is matching the green menu with the palm-green.
- The font you´re using on the main banner is HORRIBLE (sorry). Try something less freehand, not too techie or tropical though. Just something solid. Bright red works as a color, do NOT change to yellow exclusively or it will look Brazilian.
- Align "popular" with the top, and be sure it will stay on top after adding content.
- I personally HATE polls. It just seems like filling up space to me. So consider changing for content.

The navigation looks very sweet, nice job! Your "popular" table cell should be aligned to the top, on my iBook Safari, Opera and FF are verticaly aligning it to the middle, looks a bit off.

Furthermore, I would definitly change the background color. I would try some green or grey shade.

Overall very nicely done!
